Brisbane siege ‘armed’ man barricades himself in unit

Police are trying to negotiate with a man who has barricaded himself in a unit at Woodridge in Logan, south of Brisbane, on Monday morning. The man is believed to be armed.

Police are trying to negotiate with a man who has barricaded himself in a unit complex south of Brisbane and may be armed.

Negotiators were called to the scene but the man has refused to leave the buildingA siege is underway in Woodridge, Logan, where a man believed to be armed is holed up in a unit.

Police were first called to a disturbance around 8.30am on Monday, and negotiators are at the scene.

The man has refused to leave the building despite negotiations.

An exclusion zone has been established around the unit complex on Nyanza Street.

The area has been blocked off to Mikaga Court and Strathdarr Street to Kurrajong Street and Nydia Street.

There is no further information available at this stage.
