Susan Sarandon at Cannes Film Festival:  shares topless throwback photo

SUSAN Sarandon was snapped on the red carpet in Cannes just hours after she shared a risque 39-year-old throwback picture of herself at the same event.

Hollywood actress Sarandon posted the shot of herself on social media, and it shows her topless and perched on the balcony of a hotel, The Sun reports.

The star is dressed in white trousers and casual New Balance trainers, with only a black tailored jacket to cover her modesty.

The throwback photo was taken at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival and, Sarandon appeared to take inspiration from her previous monochrome look as she attended the same event on the French Riviera.

Sarandon, 70, was pictured at the screening of Nelyubov, but she kept things under wraps with a white blouse, black jacket and a floor-length leather skirt.

The icon topped off her look with an over-size pair of sunglasses and glamorous stiletto heels.

Sarandon was all smiles for the waiting photographers and casually gave a thumbs-up before heading inside to watch the movie.

The Thelma and Louise” star has been inundated with positive comments after sharing her picture with fans on Instagram.

One wrote: “No one can be this cool.”

Another of Sarandon’s followers added: “You look exactly the same — stunning.”

Earlier this week, Sarandon was pictured with her cleavage proudly on show at the Cannes Opening Night Gala.

Overshadowing some of the younger red carpet stars, the US actress flaunted her curves in a stunning Alberta Ferretti gown.

However, Sarandon is preparing to fly home to the States and on Friday morning posted another picture of herself on Instagram.

In the photo, she is again on a balcony and is wearing only a white bathrobe.

Sarandon told her fans: “Sun is setting on my time at another @festivaldecannes. Thanks to all who made it special. #cannesfilmfestival#lorealcannes #cannes2017.”
