A man is being questioned after a baby boy died in hospital after being found injured at a home in New South Wales.
Police say emergency services were called to the home in Kooringal, near Wagga Wagga in the state’s Riverina region, about 5am on Monday after receiving reports of welfare concerns for the infant.
The boy was taken to Wagga Wagga Hospital, but died a short time later.
It’s understood the two-month-old infant sustained head injuries, the Daily Advertiser reports.
A crime scene was established in Henwood Avenue and a man was taken into custody.
