UPDATE: Tonkin Highway still closed both directions from Albany Highway to Ranford Rd due to a fire at Champion Lakes.
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze in Perth’s southern suburbs.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued a bushfire advice alert for parts of Champion Lakes in the City of Armadale just before midday.
The alert covers an area bounded by Southern River Road, Corfield Street, Albany Highway and Westfield Road.
