Australian television legend Bert Newton was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after another reported health scare.
The 78-year-old former Good Morning Australia host reportedly spent seven hours in the emergency department at the Epworth Hospital in Melbourne.
According to Woman’s Day, Bert’s wife Patti left the hospital later that day, returning to the couple’s family home on her own.
‘Patti definitely looked stressed, like something was really up,’ a witness reportedly told the publication.
‘She was far from her usual calm self.’
In March this year Bert was hospitalised as he battled a bout of pneumonia.
Bert’s health has been a concern since 2012 when he underwent a quadruple heart bypass.
