The Antigua Met Service reports minimal damage to both Antigua and Barbuda where Irma first made landfall.
But there has been no contact with Barbuda since 12.30am.
Three people sought medical attention at the St John Medical Centre on Antigua, and several roofs were damaged on the island.

Swedish journalist Kim Wall died by accident after being hit by a hatch cover on board a submarine, the Danish owner of the vessel has told a court.
Peter Madsen said he had been holding the heavy hatch – but then lost his foothold and the hatch shut.
Mr Madsen, 46, then said he had tried to bury Ms Wall, who was 30, at sea and intended to commit suicide.
He has been charged with killing Ms Wall, whose headless torso was found on 23 August in waters off Denmark.
She was last seen alive on 10 August as she departed with Mr Madsen on his home-made submarine to interview the inventor.
Prosecutors have accused Mr Madsen of murdering Ms Wall and mutilating her body. He denies this.
Testifying in Copenhagen’s court on Tuesday, Mr Madsen said Ms Wall was bleeding intensely after being hit by the 70kg (154lb) hatch.
“There was a pool of blood where she had landed.”
“In the shock I was in, it was the right thing to do,” he said, answering why he threw the journalist overboard.
Danish police believe Mr Madsen deliberately sank the 40-tonne submarine hours after the search for Ms Wall began on 11 August.
Her partner had reported that she had not returned from the trip.
Mr Madsen was rescued from waters between Denmark and Sweden.

In the Bay of Fundy, where the highest tides on Earth touch Canada’s shores, a stunning new mural is naturally unveiled twice a day.
There are few people in music history as recognizable as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury — and not just his face, but his four-octave voice and flamboyant physicality. Rami Malek is well aware of that fact.
“When you’re able to open your eyes and see a different person staring back at you in the mirror,” Malek says, recalling his first time in hair and makeup, “it’s a very affirming moment.”
The Mr. Robot star is preparing to play Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (out Dec. 25, 2018), the Bryan Singer-directed film that chronicles Queen from 1970, when Mercury teamed with Brian May and Roger Taylor, until the band’s performance at Live Aid in 1985, six years before the singer died of complications from AIDS. Malek channels Mercury’s look from that global-concert event. Resembling the legendary musician, he says, “only adds to the level of confidence that one would need to play Freddie Mercury.”
The other part of that equation is — of course — that voice.
Parts of the movie that feature singing will utilize either Malek’s own voice or recordings of Mercury, with a sound alike filling in the gaps.“We’re going to use Freddie as much as possible and use myself as much as possible,” Malek says.“I’m in Abbey Road [Studios] right now if that should say anything to you. I’m not working on my acting.”
Singer, who last helmed 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, describes his approach to Bohemian Rhapsody as “not a traditional biopic” but rather a story honoring the music, an angle hinted at by the film’s limited time frame. “It won’t just be the dark Freddie story, but that being said, that also will be honored,” Singer says. “It’s about collaboration. It’s a celebration.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Indian Ocean Drive and Lancelin Road about 10am when two cars crashed into each other.
Indian Ocean Drive northbound has been closed, and a diversion is in place. Emergency services are at the scene.
One of the injured has been airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter.

Craig did not confirm his return as the superspy until he revealed his decision on Stephen Colbert’s show in August, but regular Bond screenwriters Robert Wade and Neal Purvis reportedly boarded the project back in March.
The team’s worked on Bond films including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre, which they took over from a John Logan draft.
A Hollywood insider tells Page Six that in the film that’s so far been dubbed Bond 25: “Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married.”
The source continues that “his wife then gets killed,” bringing Bond back into action.
In the franchise’s last film from 2015 Spectre, Bond’s love interest was Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann — who’s (naturally) rescued by Bond just before the closing credits.
But the source says that as the next film opens, they are in wedded bliss.

Analysts peering at satellite images of North Korea after the latest nuclear test reported Tuesday that they had spotted many landslides and wide disturbances at the country’s test site, in the North’s mountainous wilds. Tunnels for the nuclear blasts are deep inside Mount Mantap, a mile-high peak.
“These disturbances are more numerous and widespread than what we have seen from any of the five tests North Korea previously conducted,” three experts wrote in an analysis for 38 North, a website run by the U.S.-Korea Institute of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
Early readings from global networks that monitor shock waves suggest that the nuclear blast on Sunday had a destructive power equal to 120,000 tons of high explosives. If correct, that is roughly six times more powerful than the North’s test of September 2016, and eight times larger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.
While it is too early know where — or if — Irma will make landfall in the mainland United States, the storm’s predicted track takes it across Puerto Rico on Wednesday. If it continues on that path, it could reach Florida this weekend.
Irma’s maximum sustained winds were measured at 185 mph on Tuesday. Only one Atlantic storm in recorded history has exceeded that level: Hurricane Allen, which slammed into Mexico and Texas in 1980, had top wind speeds of 190 mph.

The service’s Jennifer Campbell Case told the ABC that sick donors were cancelling their appointments, reducing the stocks of the universal blood type.
“Nationally about 1000 appointments are normally cancelled each day but over this cold and flu season it has spiked to 3000,” she said. “That’s unprecedented for us.”
Only 9 per cent of people have O-negative blood and the service says it still needs 2500 people to donate in the next fortnight to boost supply.
“On the few occasions we have, stock levels have balanced themselves out again very rapidly because Australian blood donors are so generous,”

A judge has approved the $70 million compensation payout for current and former Manus Island detainees.
Victorian Supreme Court Justice Cameron Macaulay on Wednesday said he has approved the settlement reached with the Australian government and operators of the Manus Island Regional Processing Centre.
Lawyers hope to be able to get $70 million in compensation paid to current and former Manus Island detainees before the offshore immigration detention centre closes at the end of October.

Blair Cottrell, Christopher Shortis and Neil Erikson have each been fined $2,000 after they filmed the beheading of a mannequin with a toy sword outside the Bendigo council offices in 2015.
The so-called ‘Bendigo Three’ argued that their video, which was released on the United Patriot’s Front Facebook page, was an act of free speech that focused on a specific tenet of Islam.
But the magistrate disagreed, arguing the video was clearly intended to create serious contempt for or ridicule of Muslims.
“We live in a community which is inclusive and that each individual deserves the right to live their life peacefully,” Magistrate Peter Hardy said.
Amid international uproar over North Korea’s biggest nuclear weapons test to date, one of Pyongyang’s top diplomats has said they are ready to send “more gift packages” to the United States.
Han Tae Song, North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, was addressing the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament two days after his country detonated its sixth nuclear test explosion.
“I am proud of saying that just two days ago on September 3, DPRK successfully carried out a hydrogen bomb test for intercontinental ballistic rocket under its plan for building a strategic nuclear force,” Mr Han told the Geneva forum.
“The recent self-defence measures by my country, DPRK, are a ‘gift package’ addressed to none other than the US.
