Notting Hill Carnival-goers run in fear after ‘acid attack’ that saw liquid ‘thrown over crowds’

THIS is the dramatic moment Notting Hill Carnival-goers were forced to flee after “acid” was reportedly thrown into the crowd before a mass brawl broke out in a separate incident.

Dozens of panicked revellers can be seen screaming and shouting in footage posted on social media, which was apparently filmed during the huge event in West London.

Police said liquid was thrown over people gathered at St Charles Square at 7.55pm on Sunday evening and two people were injured.

A Met Police spokesman said: “The two were treatment by London Ambulance Service at the scene.

“Three people also reported skin irritation, this was not described as serious.

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the person or persons responsible.”

No one has been arrested but cops ask that anyone with information gets in touch on 101.

The video was posted on Snapchat by user Rastamouse88 with the caption: “Apperently there’s an acid attack. (sic)”

It’s not clear whether this video was filmed yesterday during the apparent attack or whether the footage shows a separate incident today…
