Many people say taking a hot air balloon ride is a magical experience. And judging by these photographs, it appears to be truly out of this world.
Kristina Makeeva, 29, from Moscow, Russia, journeyed to Cappadocia in Turkey to capture hot air balloons against a range of surreal landscapes.
Her dreamy images show dozens of colourful balloons in mid-flight, soaring above snow-covered peaks, arid deserts and tucked-away towns.
The artist, who has more than 200,000 followers on Instagram, ventured to rooftops and took rides in the balloons herself to get the perfect shots.
The ancient region of Cappadocia dates back to 3000 B.C and it is known for its unique volcanic landscape, fairy chimneys, large network of underground dwellings and some of the best hot air ballooning in the world.
Makeeva said she was so enthralled with the area she is set to re-visit this spring. Scroll down to see all of her spell-binding scenes…
