Furious Jetstar passengers have blasted the airline after they were stuck on a stationary plane at Melbourne Airport for two hours only to be told it wasn’t flying anywhere.
Flight JQ7 was due to depart Melbourne Airport at 12pm on Saturday, headed for Singapore, until an engineering fault delayed boarding by an hour.
Passengers were then stuck inside the aircraft for two hours as it sat idle on the tarmac while engineers continued to work on rectifying the problem.
When it couldn’t be fixed, passengers were ordered off the plane, told the flight was cancelled and forced to endure another lengthy wait, having already been at the airport for seven hours.

Despite repeated promises from Trump, Keystone XL pipeline won’t be required to use American steel.
A White House spokeswoman said Friday that the “buy American” rules in Trump’s order clearing way for pipelines won’t apply to the high-profile Keystone project, which will carry crude oil from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.
“The way that the Executive Order is written is actually … specific to new pipelines or those that are being repaired,” the spokeswoman said. “Since [Keystone] is already currently under construction … it was hard to go back. Everything moving forward would be all under that executive order.”
But Trump has vowed repeatedly that only steel from American steelmakers could be used on Keystone as well as other U.S. oil pipelines. He said so the day he signed the Executive Order, as well as in his address to Congress this week.

Trump also alluded to the requirement when he met with U.S. Steel (X) CEO Mario Longhi at the White House last week.
“You’re going to be doing pipelines now, you know that?” he said to Longhi. “We put you heavy into the pipeline business.”

Handle, the latest robot from Google-owned Boston Dynamics, can jump higher than the typical NBA slam dunk champion.
The Google-owned robotics company officially unveiled its latest robot, Handle, in a YouTube video posted Wednesday that immediately captivated the Internet. Handle, which stands 6-foot-6, looks vaguely human with a torso, arms and legs that have wheels instead of feet.
Boston Dynamics described the combination of legs and wheels as the best of both worlds. The wheels make Handle energy efficient on flat surfaces. (It has a 15-mile range on one charge.) With legs it’s able to manage uneven terrain, and go nearly anywhere.

Handle shows an unusual amount of grace for a hulking robot. In the video Handle rolls down steps, jumps over barriers and onto tables. It boasts a vertical leap of 48 inches, which compares favorably to great human athletes like the winners of the NBA’s dunk contest.
In the 96-second video, Handle also shows speed and agility. It can quickly accelerate to 9 miles per hour. Handle is also capable of carrying heavy loads, displaying its strength in one clip in which it lifts 100 pounds.

Critics have warned that the move could trigger a race war in South Africa. Zuma, 74, yesterday called for black parties to unite on the controversial land seizures.
South African president Jacob Zuma has called on lawmakers to help seize white-owned land without compensation – to establish ‘pre-colonial’ patterns.
But he has been warned that the measure would trigger a racial war in a country historically blighted by racial tensions.
Speaking to parliament, he called for unity between black parties. The controversial move would require a change to the constitution.

This is the greatest phone accessory I’ve used, and I’ve only been using it for a few weeks.
It’s called a Finger Ring. You stick it on the back of your phone or phone case, and it provides a ring grip that you can put your finger through. This allows you to hold your phone more securely. I have seen my friends drop their phones many times, either while using it or when someone bumped into them. Their screens would shatter or the phone would be completely broken, even with a case.
It’s also useful as a kickstand for your phone, for when you want to watch a video.
Lastly, most sellers of this would sell a small hook (similar to a 3m command hook but smaller) that you can stick to your car, to mount the phone on your dashboard when driving. It’s great for me because I don’t have a GPS system on my car, and can have my phone map and directions in my line of sight when driving.
