#F1 Jackie Stewart defends Vettel, insists Hamilton sparked their bust-up at BAKU GP: YES

British Formula One great Sir Jackie Stewart has defended Sebastian Vettel over his extraordinary bust-up with title rival Lewis Hamilton at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday.

The former world champion conceded that Vettel was guilty of “inappropriate behaviour” for deliberately ramming his Ferrari into Hamilton’s Mercedes halfway through the race in Baku.

But Stewart backed Vettel’s assertion that he had been provoked by Hamilton’s decision to back off the safety car, which led to an initial accidental collision that damaged the German’s front wing.

“What created the incident is what occurred when Lewis slowed down so quickly in a very unlikely place. You have got to take that into account,” he said.

“That was a shock to Sebastian, and that is why he came alongside Lewis to ask ‘what the hell are you doing?’.

‘This is a white shark. A big f***ing white shark’ 4.2m

THIS is the crazy moment an experienced diver paddles perilously close to a 4.2m great white shark stranded in shallow waters outside his home.

Daredevil Dale Pearson ignored all danger when he waded into the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, on May 27 after he spotted what he initially thought was a hammerhead shark.

Approaching carefully, Dale and buddy Eric Mack realise it is actually a mammoth great white they think has been caught in a net before noticing two huge propeller wounds on its back.

Deciding the shark isn’t stuck but feeding on stingrays as it circles through the water, Dale gets an up-close look as the predator thrashes its huge tail before flashing its vicious teeth…

Scorpion forces evacuation of United Airlines flight. UNBELIEVABLE

Now United Airlines passengers are being attacked by SCORPIONS!

A United Airlines flight was delayed for several hours in Texas after reports of a scorpion crawling out from a passenger’s clothes.

Passengers say United Flight 1035 was evacuated on Thursday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston following the scorpion sighting.

The flight, which was headed for Quito, Ecuador was delayed for three hours.

News of the scorpion incident got out when passengers started tweeting about the ordeal.

‘The captain of my flight just told us it’s a scorpion on the plane???!!!!! Good job United!’ Daniel Dueñas tweeted.

Another passenger claimed on Twitter that ‘flight 1035 from Houston to Ecuador evacuated due to a scorpion stinging a passenger’.

United, however, have said no one was stung by the scorpion.

‘Houston to Quito flight 1035 returned to the gate after a scorpion reportedly emerged from a customer’s clothing,’ the airline said in a statement.

Paramedics at the gate immediately examined the customer and determined that he had not been stung. The customer declined further medical treatment and, as a precaution, a new aircraft was arranged.

‘We provided all passengers with a meal voucher due to the delay and the flight, with the customer aboard, has departed for Quito.’

It comes a month after a passenger on another flight out of Houston was stung by a scorpion when it fell on the man’s head from an overhead bin.

The passenger, Richard Bell, was stung when he picked the creature up after it landed on his plate.

Another passenger then stomped on the scorpion before it was thrown in a toilet.

CSIRO says it knows where MH370 is

Australia’s chief science agency says it is more confident than ever that it knows the area in which missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 can be found.

The CSIRO said its new report, released on Friday, confirmed that the most likely location of MH370 was a new 25,000 sq km area, north of the original 120,000 sq km search area.

The Boeing 777 disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014 with 239 people on board and is one of the greatest aviation mysteries.

The new area was revealed in December, and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau chief commissioner Greg Hood has described it as “highly likely” that the area identified by experts contains the aircraft,

However Transport Ministers from Malaysia, China and Australia were unmoved and suspended the search until “credible new evidence” was found.

They are yet to respond to Friday’s report.

A CSIRO research team led by Dr David Griffin said their latest testing had used a Boeing 777 flaperon – part of a plane’s wing – that was identically damaged to the MH370 flaperon found at La Reunion Island near Africa in July 2015.

The tests involved seeing how the flaperon drifted through the water, whether it went straight downwind, or off at an angle, and at what speed through the water.

Previous tests had involved using inexact replicas, but Dr Griffin said testing an almost identical flaperon “added an extra level of assurance to the findings from our earlier drift modelling work”.

The arrival of MH370’s flaperon at La Reunion now made perfect sense, he said.

“It indicates that the most likely location of MH370 is in the new search area,” Dr Griffin said.

“We cannot be absolutely certain, but that is where all the evidence we have points us, and this new work leaves us more confident in our findings.”

“Knowing how the flaperon, and the other parts of MH370 that have been found, respond to wind and waves is just as important as knowing the currents of the Indian Ocean.”

SPOILER: Homeland finale recap: S6, Ep12 with a thrilling — and chilling— finale

Homeland wraps up its sixth season with a thrilling — and chilling — finale.

Maybe Carrie should have stayed abroad after all. Maybe if she had, she wouldn’t be ending Homeland‘s sixth season staring warily at Capitol Hill the way Brody once did, unsure of whether her country’s turned its back on her.

So that’s what this season was all about, the fact that terrorism can be home grown — and not seen as terrorism, but a defensive mechanism to keep America, as the episode title says, first. Keane’s paranoia is what compels her to stay seated while Carrie pleads for her to stop the witch hunt; it’s also what drives her to “detain” innocent people like Saul. These arrests may not come equipped with explosives and IUDs, but they’re flashy and they’re a different form of spreading terror, at least through the Beltway.

And what of General McClendon, Brett O’Keefe, and Dar Adal? Their entire mission, which certainly overshot its initial goals, was borne out of paranoia as well, created and carried out within U.S. borders by the people who claim to protect it. So who was right all along? How can a country defend itself when its enemies believe themselves to be its heroes? Why shouldn’t the highest office simply rule with an iron fist instead, intelligence community be damned?
