Bachelor in Paradise contestant ‘appeared to be unconscious’ during alleged sexual encounter

Reality television show Bachelor in Paradise halted production after two contestants were involved in a sexual encounter where the female contestant “appeared to be unconscious”, it has been reported. The fourth season was set to premiere on 8 August but was suspended over “allegations of misconduct”, and the two contestants reported to have been dismissed from the show by Warner Bros.

Since the investigation was launched, the Daily Mail has reported that the female contestant involved in the incident may have been too drunk to consent to sexual activity. “There was hugging and kissing and touching, but before long, she seemed to go limp,” they said. “[He] kept trying to hold her up and… he appeared to be having intercourse with her.

“After he finished – which only lasted a few seconds – he lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her.

“She appeared to be unconscious. At some point, some of the crew came out and carried her off to her room. She was limp and seemed unable to walk on her own.”

James Blunt’s cheeky radio interview ‘You’ve ridden me then you can eat me’

He may have flown down under to perform an emotional song at the Logies.

But James Blunt’s best tour moments have come in his frequently naughty radio interviews.

Speaking to The Matt and Meshel show on KIIS FM, the 43-year-old British singer got very graphic as he described the concept behind the pizza restaurant at the top of a ski lift that was named after him.

After reading the soft-rocker’s Wikipedia account, funnyman Matt had an inkling that the You’re Beautiful singer might have ‘manipulated’ his own entry and asked him to confirm or deny them.

Surprisingly, many of the seemingly crazy facts scattered across his profile page turned out to be true.

I do have a ski lift named after me in Sweden… It’s an honour,’ he hilariously confessed.

‘I got to smash a bottle against the first pillar and say: “I name this chairlift James Blunt, God bless her and all who rides me.”‘

At first, the self-effacing singer kept it light, joking: ‘Next year I’m installing a sound system to only play my music – to keep the queues down.’

But as has been the case during his time in the country to perform at the Logies, the funnyman focused more on his racy humour than his dulcet falsetto tones.

‘There’s a restaurant at the top, and there’s a pizza there called the blunt pizza,’ he continued.

‘So you’ve ridden me, and then you can eat me.’

Japan scrambles jets to head off six Russian bombers

Six Russian aircraft seen close to Japanese airspace forced fighter jets to be scrambled today, according to reports in Tokyo.

Japanese defence forces first reacted after two Tu-95 Bear strategic bombers were seen close to the Pacific Ocean.

Soon afterwards two Russian Ilyushin Il-38 fighter jets were sent out to Hokkaido, which is Japan’s most northern island, NHK reported today.

The same day two anti-submarine aircraft, the Tupolev Tu-142 were deployed by Russia to the Sea of Japan, while two aircraft, believed to be the fighter jets, made a u-turn close to Tokyo after crossing the Pacific Ocean.

They then returned to Russian territory, it has been reported, and the Japanese military said the aircraft did not trespass into its territory.

The alert comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region, after Japanese Prime Minister described a North Korean missile test as a grave threat to the region.

Jetstar fined $545,000 for hidden online booking fees

Budget airline Jetstar has been slammed with a $545,000 fine for not being upfront about booking and transaction fees.

The fine was imposed by the Federal Court as punishment for ‘drip pricing’ – whereby charges were not disclosed upfront in the booking process.

‘I think it’s fair to say the penalty reflects the amount of consumer angst out there,’ Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Chairman Rod Sims told News.com.au.

‘If you raise this topic a lot of people get very angry. They get right through the booking process thinking they’re going to pay one price only to be hit with extra charges at the end.

‘I’m surprised companies treat their customers this way.’
