South Africa tour remains in doubt after emergency meeting fails to find resolution

Australian cricketers will boycott an Australia A tour of South Africa unless Cricket Australia (CA) takes action within days to resolve a bitter pay dispute.

Players held an emergency meeting in Sydney on Sunday where they threatened to boycott the Australia A tour, scheduled to start on July 12.

The Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) says those players selected for the tour will go into training this week but will not sign contracts for the tour.

Around 230 cricketers are unemployed after the pay deal between CA and the ACA expired on Friday.
