ALEX Clark and Emily O’Kane came home with a sugar rush plating a cracking Penicillin dessert to win My Kitchen Rules.
The Queensland hospitality couple scored 55 points out of 60 for their five-course menu — three points ahead of Victorian mums Kim Tran and Suong Pham.
It was a rollercoaster cook for both teams with Emily reduced to tears at one stage and Kim and Suong having an ugly spat backstage.
Alex and Emily scored straight nines from Pete Evans, Manu Feildel, Guy Grossi, Karen Martini and Colin Fassnidge and a perfect 10 from Liz Egan.
“That was a grand final menu in every way,” Egan said.

ALMOST 5000 homes across Western Australia were without power after two storm fronts wreaked havoc today.
The South West has been battered overnight and this morning by rain and high winds gusting up to 106km/h.
A Western Power spokeswoman said there were about 4,700 people without power on Sunday afternoon.

Three people stabbed in Melbourne siege
Three people have been stabbed in Melbourne and the alleged offender tasered and arrested by police following a stand-off.
A 25-year-old man is fighting for life and two women, 44 and 21, are seriously injured after the incident at Doveton, which took place about 6.30am on Saturday.
One of the women tried to flee, running up the road to a neighbour’s house while the alleged offender followed, the Herald Sun reported.
The neighbour heard the woman’s screams and discovered her bleeding on his doorstep.
It is believed the man then dragged the woman inside his house and barricaded himself inside with his wife and children just before the alleged offender arrived.
The 24-year-old from Clayton South later threatened self-harm outside before police arrived.
He has been taken to hospital for assessment and charged with 29 offences including aggravated burglary, intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury and false imprisonment.
He appeared at an out-of-sessions court hearing and was remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court again on Sunday.
All four people are believed to be known to each other but the exact circumstances are yet to be determined by police.

The Flying Doctors actress Val Jellay dies of pneumonia at age 89
Australian actress Valerie ‘Val’ Jellay has died of pneumonia at age 89.
The iconic actress was best known for her role as Nancy Buckley on The Flying Doctors which she played for six years.
Val was born in 1927 and began performing in vaudeville comedies before moving to television where she stayed for the rest of her career. As well as her role on The Flying Doctors, Val also starred in iconic Australian dramas such as Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Homicide and Division 4.
She married to Maurie Fields in 1960 and he later died in 1995 after their 35th wedding anniversary.
Val’s comedian son Marty Fields shared a post to Twitter one week ago to say that his mother was in intensive care battling pneumonia.
A day later he updated his followers and said she was on life support and fully sedated.
On Sunday, he broke the news to his followers that his mother had died.

Bottle shop + service station destroyed after armed thief was threatening a staff member
A 24-year-old man was arrested following the incident at the Canning Road store in Karagullen at about 7.40pm on Friday.
Police say the man entered the liquor store and allegedly stole some alcohol, walking out of the shop and placing the stolen booze in a vehicle.
He then moved the vehicle to a fuel pump at the same premises and attempted to use it, but the store operator denied it.
“The man then walked into the store and allegedly threatened the store person with a knife,” a police spokesman said.
“It is further alleged the man attempted to obtain the victims phone and car keys.”
Police say the victim, a 22-year-old man, fled outside with a customer and they locked the man in the store and called police.
“Whilst this happened the man allegedly damaged the shop and set fire to items within the store,” the spokesman said.
The fire was extinguished but the man and the police officers who arrested him all suffered smoke inhalation.
The building was destroyed in the fire.
Police will further allege the man stole a BMW station wagon during a burglary at a Kewdale home on Friday about 5.30pm before driving to Rivervale and stealing items from a delivery driver parked outside a Surrey Road address.
His alleged crime spree culminated about an hour later at the Karagullen store.
The 24-year-old has been charged with a string of offences, including criminal damage by fire, armed robbery, stealing, home burglary and stealing a motor vehicle. He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court at a later date.

King Charles III ‘will be agonising for Wills + Harry’: Princess Diana’s GHOST
Prince William and Harry would find scenes in controversial new royal drama depicting their mother ‘agonising’, according to one of the show’s stars.
In the last interview before his death on April 7, Tim Pigott-Smith said how painful the new BBC film, King Charles III, would be for the princes when the ghost of their dead mother Diana, Princess of Wales, appeared.
The actor, who died aged 70, takes on the role of Prince Charles in the 90-minute film that imagines the first days of his accession to the throne after the death of the Queen.
Princess Diana’s spirit appears when Prince Charles comes to the throne as she haunts the rooms of Buckingham Palace and tells her late husband: ‘You think I didn’t love you. It’s not true.’
Mr Pigott-Smith told The Times: ‘One area of the play I found incredibly painful to do was the ghost of Princess Diana. Just because that whole incident was so terrible.
‘I don’t think it is presumptuous of us to do it or wrong of us to do it.’
He went on to describe the scenes as ‘hyper-sensitive’.
‘It would be terribly upsetting for any of them to watch,’ he said.
‘For Charles or William or Harry it would be agonising to watch. That upsets me. But I don’t think we’ve done anything unreasonable or cruel.’
King Charles III, which starts on BBC 2 next week, is the TV adaptation of a play by Mike Bartlett, which Mr Pigott-Smith also starred in.
This week Mr Bartlett was asked if Prince Harry’s recent comments about his mother’s death and the effect it had on his mental health made him regret the inclusion the ghost in the film adaptation.
He argued that Princess Diana played a central role in the royal family and that it would be ‘very strange’ to tell the story without her.

Rare electric blue crayfish spotted off WA coast
A species of rare electric blue-coloured crayfish have been spotted by fishermen off the coast of Western Australia.
These oddly coloured crayfish with their blue hue aren’t a common sight in the wild, but their numbers are slowly growing as people begin to farm them.
Bright blue marron aren’t a new type of crayfish, they’re a result of a genetic mutation and are the same species as black and brown marron.
The crustaceans are a commonly found in the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia.
‘If you mate two blue marron you will get blue progeny,’ Craig Lawrence, a research scientist with the Department of Fisheries told The Albany Advertiser.
‘But if you mate a black and a blue you will get mainly black progeny and if you mate those progeny together you will get some blues too.’
Their beautiful colour means the sea creature is a popular addition to fish tanks and aquariums.
But they’re not a popular choice in the kitchen, turning an orange colour when cooked.
‘Restaurants prefer the dark black or brown marron because they cook up a bright red,’ Dr Lawrence said.
Marron is the name given to two species of crayfish found in Western Australia and they are considered a luxury seafood.

Child-porn website creator accidentally reveals IP address, leading to 870 arrests
The full scale of an investigation into a worldwide paedophile ring has been released by the FBI and Europol after the creator of a child pornography website was sentenced to more than 30 years in prison.
Florida man Steven Chase, 58, was this week sentenced in a North Carolina federal courtroom on multiple child pornography and child exploitation charges, the FBI said.
Officials said he was the creator and lead administrator of child pornography website Playpen, which had more than 150,000 members before it was shut down.
Members uploaded and viewed tens of thousands of postings of young victims, categorised by age, sex and the type of sexual activity involved.
In January 2015, the FBI and the US Department of Justice launched Operation Pacifier in an effort to track down Playpen’s thousands of members.
The operation received support from Europol and other law enforcement agencies around the world.
As a result there were 368 arrests or convictions in Europe and 350 in the US, with a total of 870 worldwide, according to information released by the FBI and Europol.
The FBI said 296 sexually abused children were identified or rescued internationally.
Europol’s executive director Rob Wainwright called it “one of the most important investigations of online child sexual abuse ever conducted”.
Michael Fluckiger, 46, of Indiana, and David Browning, 47, of Kentucky were also identified as administrators of the website and each received 20-year prison terms earlier this year.
The FBI said Chase created Playpen in August 2014 on Tor, an open network on the internet where users can communicate anonymously through “hidden service” websites.
Tor was created by the US Naval Research Laboratory as a means of protecting government communications, US attorney Jill Rose noted in a written response to a motion to have Chase’s indictment dismissed.
But she said the network had a downside.
“The Tor network is a haven for criminal activity in general, and the online sexual exploitation of children in particular,” she wrote.
Chase accidentally reveals Playpen’s IP address
The FBI said it became aware of the site after it launched, but Special Agent Dan Alfin said that because of how Tor worked, there was not much agents could do about it.
But in December 2014, agents said Chase slipped up and revealed Playpen’s IP address, which was a location in the US.
The mistake was caught by overseas law enforcement, which then informed the FBI.
In launching its own investigation, the FBI learned that the computer server that hosted Playpen was located at a web-hosting facility in North Carolina and that Chase was the administrator of the server, Ms Rose wrote.
Gold Coast teen boy arrested ‘violent carjacking’ ESCAPES custody in embarrassing bungle
A teenage boy arrested over a carjacking on the Gold Coast has escaped police custody after an ’embarrassing’ bungle at the Southport Watchhouse.
The 15-year-old boy escaped custody on Saturday when he posed as another prisoner who was granted bail at the watchhouse, the Courier Mail reports.
When he was accidentally granted leave at the watchhouse he jumped a fence and dodged policemen who pursued him on foot through the streets of Southport.
The boy remains on the run, with police urging him to hand himself in, the Courier Mail reports.
The young couple allegedly asked a 24-year-old woman for a lift home from Harbour Town Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast on Thursday night after they claimed a man was chasing them.
When the 24-year-old woman gave them a lift, she claimed they held a knife to her throat and demanded her handbag and car.
The woman reportedly struck the girl with her car in an atempt to escape the violent carjacking.
The boy fled the scene, and left his seriously injured girlfriend at the scene. She was later taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Acting Inspector Brett MacGibbon said the Queensland Police Service was ’embarrassed’ they had allowed the boy to escape from custody on Saturday.
‘It is a bit embarrassing,’ he said.
‘I would hope that it wouldn’t be that easy.’
Inspector MacGibbon said the boy pretended to be another juvenile detainee who was granted bail.
When the detainee’s name was read out, the teenager stepped out in his place.
Police realised their mistake about 30 seconds after the boy was released, he said.
The incident will be investigated internally by the Queensland Police Service.
The boy’s escape comes just 24 hours after he was arrested over the carjacking.
Queensland Ambulance Service’s Paul Barry said it was a ‘very confronting scene for paramedics’ when they arrived at the crash on Thursday night.
Mr Barry said the 15-year-old girl was badly injured.
‘It’s a very young and tender age and she required some stabilisation,’ he said.
The 15-year-old boy allegedly fled the scene of the crash, leaving his girlfriend for dead…
