South West battered by damaging high winds. 5000 homes across Western Australia were without power after two storm fronts wreaked havoc

Cape Leeuwin recorded wind gusts up to 106km/h.ALMOST 5000 homes across Western Australia were without power after two storm fronts wreaked havoc today.

The South West has been battered overnight and this morning by rain and high winds gusting up to 106km/h.

A Western Power spokeswoman said there were about 4,700 people without power on Sunday afternoon.
