Perth woman caught in road rage. ‘I thought I was going to die’
A MOTHER who was allegedly rammed off the road at high speed said she thought she was going to die as her car rolled south of Perth.
Melissa Hahn was driving her son to the airport about 4.15am when police say they were allegedly chased along South Western Highway near Byford by a man who had tried to flag them down.
Police claim her Nissan Navara was rammed several times as they were travelling about 120km/h, forcing her off the road before she lost control and the vehicle rolled.
As they were trapped inside, Ms Hahn claimed the man from the car approached and began yelling at them and trying to get inside.
“I was petrified,” she said. “I thought he was going to kill us.”
Police claim the same man chased other motorists and forced them off the road.
One woman, Leah Jokic, was followed along the highway to a service station, where she sought refuge.
I’m thinking the speed I’m doing, I’m going to die,” she told 7 News, fighting back tears.
“I was on the phone to triple zero like ‘Help me, help me’, obviously they couldn’t.
“I thought I was going to die.”

2 Israeli Cops Dead in Palestinian Attack at Jerusalem Shrine
Israel’s police chief says two officers were killed in an attack by Palestinian assailants near a major Jerusalem shrine. Roni Alsheich says the policemen died…
Roni Alsheich says the policemen died of wounds sustained in the attack earlier Friday. He spoke after three Arab citizens of Israel opened fire on police near one of the holiest sites in Jerusalem. The compound is the holiest site in Judaism and the third-holiest in Islam. Spokeswoman Luba Samri said the attack happened Friday near a gate of Jerusalem’s Old City and the shooters then fled toward a mosque at the nearby holy site. Police gave chase and they were shot dead at the compound.
The holy compound is known to Jews as Temple Mount and to Muslims as Noble Sanctuary. It is the holiest site to Jews and the third holiest in Islam.Since September 2015, Palestinian attackers have killed 43 Israelis, two visiting Americans and a British tourist. In that time, Israeli forces have killed more than 254 Palestinians, most of them said by Israel to be attackers.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to preserve long-standing access arrangements at a contested Jerusalem holy site, in an apparent attempt to allay Muslim fears after Israel ordered the volatile shrine closed for a day following a Palestinian shooting attack there. The status quo governing the site “will be preserved,” he said.
The site has been a flashpoint for violence in the past, with friction there sparking major rounds of Israeli-Palestinian violence.

Second Border Force boss engulfed in relationship scandal
A DECORATED and politically connected Border Force Assistant Commissioner yesterday resigned while facing an investigation.
Highly experienced Australian Border Force Capability Division Assistant Commissioner Peter Docwra had been on leave before he decided to quit.
The explosive revelations, exclusively revealed today by The Courier-Mail, come as Mr Docwra’s boss, Roman Quaedvlieg, remains on leave while investigators probe his alleged relationship with a much younger staff member.
It is understood the investigation into Mr Docwra relates to a relationship with a staff member with whom he had regular contact.
It is likely the probe into Mr Docwra will continue, despite him leaving on his own terms.
A spokesman for the Department of Immigration and Border Force said: “The department does not comment or confirm whether any matter is, or is not, under investigation.

Greens senator Scott Ludlam resigns from Parliament. Discovering he was ineligible to stand
The co-deputy of the Greens, Scott Ludlam, has resigned from Parliament after discovering he was ineligible to stand at last year’s federal election.
Senator Ludlam, who was first elected to the Senate a decade ago, made the bombshell announcement in Perth on Friday afternoon.
The Western Australian, who was born in New Zealand but left when he was a child, recently discovered he remains a dual citizen with that country, meaning he was actually disqualified from running for office at the 2007, 2013 and 2016 elections.
“I apologise unreservedly for this mistake,” the outgoing senator said…
