MAYWEATHER DEFEATS MCGREGOR BY TKO IN THE 10TH ROUND
That fight was more entertaining than I thought it would be and McGregor did a lot better than I thought. He can be proud of his efforts. But Mayweather did not look flash throughout. Still, considering the build up that fight was about as good as anyone could have hoped for.

Cassie Sainsbury Drug Mule: Stealing money from Tennis Club during stint as secretary?
The affidavit shows that Sainsbury was secretly using the tennis club as her own private ATM.
She allegedly withdrew $3167 via direct transfers to her own personal bank account, but attempted to repay some of the money, returning $1160 before she finally skipped town leaving the club $2007 short.
The affidavit documents 19 transactions, all of which are believed to be fraudulent, with withdrawals of $55, $150, $200, $502, $300, some of them on the same day.
She would often then have a pang of guilt and repay some money, but would subsequently withdraw more money again.
The theft happened around the same time Sainsbury was living in Yorketown, where she ran a failed gymnasium business.
The story was revealed on Radio 5AA on Tuesday morning where club spokesman, named only as Mark, said the money taken direct from the pockets of club members, many of them juniors.
“It might not sound like a lot but for a small club like ours it represented 60 per cent of our entire revenue,”Mark said.
Sainsbury become involved with the Coobowie Tennis Club in 2015 and was appointed treasurer in September of that year.

Jamie Horowitz fired as head of Fox Sports amid reports of sexual harassment
Jamie Horowitz, the controversial television executive charged with leading Fox Sports into its high-profile ratings battle with ESPN, was dismissed from the network in surprising and abrupt fashion Monday, reportedly in the wake of a sexual harassment investigation.
Fox Sports President Eric Shanks announced Horowitz’s departure in an email to staff. He did not offer an explanation for the sudden move but alluded to the possibility that something was amiss.
“Everyone at FOX Sports, no matter what role we play, or what business, function or show we contribute to — should act with respect and adhere to professional conduct at all times,” Shanks told his staff. “These values are non-negotiable.”
Later Monday, the Los Angeles Times, citing an unnamed source, reported that 21st Century Fox launched an investigation last week into allegations of sexual harassment, and that several women at Fox Sports have been interviewed.
A spokesperson for the network confirmed Horowitz’s departure but said the network would not be making any further statements.

Two arrested over murder of Qin Wu inside Buddhist temple at Guildford
Homicide detectives arrested the two men today, following a three-month undercover operation into the death of Qin Wu, 37, who was killed inside the unconventional temple at Guildford on February 1 this year.
In April this year, The Daily Telegraph revealed two people had been killed inside the bizarre temple — one being Mr Wu and another man who was stabbed to death before his body was dumped in the boot of a car at Rookwood cemetery in 2014.

Navy Parachutist Dies During Demonstration Over Jersey City – The New York Times
JERSEY CITY — A Navy parachutist performing an aerial demonstration for Fleet Week died on Sunday after his chute did not open properly and he plunged into the Hudson River as hundreds of people watched from Liberty State Park.
The man who died, whose name was not immediately released, was a member of the Leap Frogs, the United States Navy parachute team that travels across the country giving demonstrations.
The Navy said the man was pronounced dead less than an hour after the Coast Guard and the Jersey City Fire Department’s marine unit pulled him from the water and transported him to a hospital.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, and I ask for all of your prayers for the Navy SEAL community, who lost a true patriot today,” said Rear Adm. Jack Scorby, commander of Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.

SPOILER: Major character killed off on Scandal in shocking storyline twist
Fans of the ABC series got an unexpected twist on Thursday’s show, as a major character was killed off the series.
The storyline death marks the second time a key character was killed off, as crisis management Harrison Wright, played by Columbus Short, died in a 2014 episode after getting on the bad side of Rowan Pope (Joe Morton).
Short, who had appeared in 47 episodes across three seasons on the show, was written off the series after domestic violence allegations and an admitted drug crisis.

Mellie Grant’s chief of staff Elizabeth North, plated by Portia de Rossi, was murdered on Thursday’s program, amid a scene that took place in a pow-wow with Grant (Bellamy Young) and rivals the Mystery Woman (Zoe Perry) and Peus (David Warshofsky). After Grant resisted the duo’s initial threats, the Mystery Woman fatally impaled North with a golf club.
Portia, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, said she made the decision to exit the hit series, ‘but not because [she] no longer wanted to be part of the show.
‘It was more because I found a great business opportunity I wanted to pursue that was taking my interest away from acting and a career I’ve had for 20-plus years and putting it elsewhere that was very timing consuming,’ the actress said.
Portia said she went to the show’s creator and executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, to ask her ‘if it would be OK’ to leave the show, and Rhimes ‘was nothing but supportive and wished me luck in my business venture and was gracious and lovely about it.’
