‘Game Of Thrones’ Finally Reveals Jon Snow’s Real Name SPOILERS +V/CLIP
After last season of “Game of Thrones” confirmed the character was actually born to Lyanna Stark, Sunday’s episode, titled “The Dragon and the Wolf,” finally made Jon’s (Kit Harington) true given name known to viewers. For those fans who started with George R.R. Martin’s book series, it’s a revelation 20 years in the making.

He Who Knows Nothing is really named Aegon Targaryen, reflecting his actual ancestry. (Our vote, “Jon Starkaryen,” was apparently not taken into consideration.)
While last season confirmed Lyanna as Jon’s mother, his father’s identity is now confirmed to be Rhaegar Targaryen, brother to Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and heir to the Mad King’s throne ― before the Targaryen dynasty was toppled.
“Aegon” was the name of Aegon the Conqueror, the first Targaryen ruler in Westeros, and also the name of Rhaegar’s other son, who died in the Sack of King’s Landing (at least in the books).
This means Rhaegar may have named two of his sons Aegon, which is weird, but whatever!

Fyre Festival Founder Arrested, Charged With Wire Fraud
Federal agents on Friday arrested Billy McFarland, the businessman behind the botched Fyre Festival, on charges of wire fraud.
McFarland’s arrest comes four months after the event ― which was billed as an ultra-luxurious music festival on a private island with gourmet catering and supermodels and tickets that cost up to $250,000 ― turned out to be a disorganized failure.
When ticket holders arrived on the secluded island in late April, they were shocked to find what appeared to be a construction site with half-built tents, feral dogs and inadequate food and water…

Deadly heat waves becoming more common due to climate change – 50c!
(CNN)Deadly heat waves are going to be a much bigger problem in the coming decades, becoming more frequent and occurring over a much greater portion of the planet because of climate change, according to a study published Monday in Nature Climate Change.
Extreme heat waves, such as the one torching the Southwestern United States and the one plaguing Western Europe, which has sparked wildfires in Portugal that have killed more than 60 people, are frequently cited as one of the most direct effects of man-made climate change.
The study says, by the year 2100, three out of four people on Earth could be subject to at least 20 days per year of heat and humidity associated with deadly heat waves, if greenhouse emissions continue to rise at their current rates…

Maryland, DC attorneys general to sue Donald Trump over foreign payments
Attorneys general for the District of Columbia and the state of Maryland say they will sue President Trump on Monday, alleging that he has violated anticorruption clauses in the Constitution by accepting millions in payments and benefits from foreign governments since moving into the White House.
The lawsuit, the first of its kind brought by government entities, centres on the fact that Trump chose to retain ownership of his company when he became president…

Virgin Australia gives life ban to woman over racist rant on flight
AN AUSTRALIAN woman has been banned from flying Virgin for life after she was filmed yelling insults at a Sydney family on a flight to Fiji.
The video, obtained by Nine News, shows the woman verbally abusing the family seated opposite her while the plane was on the tarmac preparing to leave Sydney airport.
“You’re a f***ing Muslim,” the woman could he heard saying in the video obtained by Nine News.
When cabin crew tried to subdue her, she yelled: “I’ve done nothing wrong. Are you f***ing kidding me? I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m just sitting here”.
A child, presumed to be the woman’s son, tried putting his hands over her mouth in an apparent attempt to quieten her.
But the woman continued with her tirade.
“So the Australian, now we’re a minority,” she said to the crew, before threatening to knock out the person filming the incident.
“Keep recording. I’m going to knock her out. So you’re not worried about those that chop people’s heads off? Wow,” she said.
The woman was eventually escorted off the plane by Fijian authorities. The family at the receiving end of the insults claim the woman was drunk.
Virgin Australia told Nine News the passenger has received a life ban from flying with the airline.
In a statement, the airline said: “Virgin Australia takes the safety of our guests and our crew very seriously. On board Virgin Australia flight VA 181 from Sydney to Nadi on 4 May 2017, a passenger acted in an inappropriate manner towards other passengers and our crew.
“The matter is now in the hands of the Fijian authorities and out of respect for the privacy of our passengers and our crew, it would be inappropriate to provide any further details.”

Budget 2017: What we know so far and what to expect
Just one day before the 2017 Federal Budget many of the winners and losers are already known.
Announcements and leaks to the media have identified some key areas where major announcements are is expected in the government’s annual financial blueprint.
Details of other issues – such as a possible response to Australia’s housing affordability crisis – are unknown.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has already announced the government will pump an extra $19billion into schools over the next decade as part of ‘Gonski 2.0.’
In other known spending measures, Sydney’s new airport has been confirmed and the Australian Federal Police are set to receive an extra $321million to step up the fight against terrorism.
But $2.8billion in cuts to university funding sparked protests last week, with students set to pay up to $3,600 more for a four-year university degree.
The budget will also see foreign buyers taxed up to $5,000 per property if they do not live in it as part of a ‘ghost house tax’.

Sydney’s $5billion second airport WILL be built at Badgerys Creek by the federal government
The Turnbull government will build Western Sydney Airport, with the details to be outlined in next week’s federal budget.
This follows Tuesday’s announcement by Sydney Airport, the owner of Kingsford Smith airport, that it will not take up the opportunity under its right of first refusal to build and operate the new airport at Badgerys Creek.
‘It is a vitally important project for Western Sydney, for Sydney, and the nation, which is why the Coalition government ended decades of indecision by committing to the project in 2014,’ Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said in a statement.
Sydney Airport’s refusal had been widely expected after the federal government in December ruled out any direct financial support towards the cost of building and operating the proposed $5 billion project at Badgerys Creek.
The government has undertaken a significant amount of contingency planning ahead of the refusal decision.
It is committed to a 2026 operation date for the airport, which would have a 3700 metre runway and terminal capable of servicing 10 million passengers a year.
On-site works are expected to start in 2018…
As well, a Forum on Western Sydney Airport chaired by Western Sydney University chancellor Peter Shergold is leading community consultation on the project, which remains controversial among local councils and the public.
A study has shown the existing Sydney airport will have no scope for growth of passenger services beyond 2035 and all slots for airlines will be filled by 2027.
It’s estimated the new airport could create 9000 direct jobs by the early 2030s and 60,000 in the long term.
