The codes used to access United Airlines’ pilot compartments have been ‘inadvertently made public.’
While the airline has not said how many planes might have been involved, it sent a mass email on Saturday to employees, stating that other measures had been put in place to secure the airlines’ cockpits.
The company’s spokesperson Maddie King confirmed the accident – which has been reported to the Federal Aviation Administration – but denounced any claims that it was a hack or a breach.
In a statement, the airlines said: ‘The safety of our customers and crew is our top priority and United Airlines utilizes a number of measures to keep our flight decks secure beyond door access information.
‘In the interim, this protocol ensures our cockpits remain secure. We are working to resolve this.’
The airlines’ website shows flights are running as normal, but it’s still not clear how the company intends to rectify the mistake.

As teased, Activision’s flagship franchise will return to World War II by way of subsidiary Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind the series’ 11th installment, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, in 2014. In a global livestream replete with explosions and voyeur-cam shrapnel, Activision touted what it’s simply calling Call of Duty: WWII as more or less what you’d expect of a series with 10 years of industry technical advances in its rearview mirror since its last visit to the period.
Which is just to say the game seems as graphically tricked out as rival EA DICE’s Battlefield 1, which arrived last fall. Sledgehammer heads Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey talked up the game’s fidelity and historicity, noting that it takes place entirely in the European theater near the war’s close, between 1944 and 1945. It starts, as so many World War II games do, with players storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, then includes fighting through Hürtgen Forest, urban combat in France and Belgium, and finally the inexorable push toward Germany.
There’s not a lot you can show World War II wonks they haven’t seen at this point (slo-mo zooms on acts of incredible violence can only titillate even the most fanatical so many times). Watching cinematic in-game footage of beachheads and tanks and humans bashing other humans to smithereens produces at best a kind of visceral numbness. To Activision’s credit, it’s been nearly a decade since the series visited this period — the last time was 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War, which explored the Pacific theater. And unless EA DICE has an unrevealed World War II Battlefield 1 followup in the offing this year, this looks like the 2017’s only triple-A World War II game on the block.
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed the game will arrive on November 3, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, noting that the customary multiplayer beta will transpire at some point earlier in the year.

The opening practice session for the Chinese Grand Prix was heavily disrupted by the bad weather in Shanghai on Friday.
Following a deluge of overnight rain, the one-and-a-half-hour session was halted after just four minutes with the medical helicopter unable to land at the designated hospital due to the foggy conditions.

Just days after it was revealed that members of the Facebook group ‘Marine’s United’ were sharing nude photos of females, it is coming to light that the same is occurring among other branches of the military.
Now the Defense Department is looking into different websites and online outlets through which members of the armed forces have shared nude photographs of women, many taken without their knowledge or permission.
The investigation started out with just the Marines, but has spread to all branches of the military.
A website, titled Anon-IB gained notoriety for publishing nude photographs of celebrities, such as Jennifer Lawrence.
Now it has been revealed that it contains a message board for military personnel to exchange comments and crude photos of female service members, or partners of service members. Some of the female members are even identified by name or duty station, reported CBS News.
Some of the photos posted are extremely pornographic, however others are just snaps of service women following requests for ‘wins’ which is a slang term for nude photos.
