Poland bomb threat on train to Berlin sparks mass evacuation as cops swoop

POLISH cops evacuated a train travelling from Warsaw to Berlin after receiving a bomb threat.

The train was stopped in Mogilno station in western Poland where police boarded and ushered out passengers.

Residents of nearby buildings were also evacuated so bomb squads with trained dogs could check the area.

Ambulances and fire crews were reported to be at the scene.

Sergeant Magdalena Pollak of Mogilne Police said: “There is a special bomb disposal unit at the scene.

“A dog trained in finding explosives is also being brought in from Poznan.”

Operator PKP Intercity confirmed that all of the roughly 600 passengers had been rushed off the high speed train and moved to a nearby school.
