Crane topples at Perth construction site

CONSTRUCTION workers on a Wembley site have some cleaning up to do after a large crane toppled over this morning.

The crane, reportedly weighing as much as 130 tonnes, was operating on a construction site at the corner of Pangbourne and Ruislip streets in Wembley.

The crane toppled before 10am this morning and hit a water main and through new roof construction.

It is not yet clear if anyone was injured in the fall and it’s been reported that Worksafe.

Cranes have been called in to stablise the machine.

The builder, Pindan, has been contacted for comment, along with Worksafe.
