ROLLING Stone Ronnie Wood diagnosed with lung cancer

Ronnie Wood has been fighting a secret battle with lung cancer. Ron, 70, had an op but refused chemo. He said: “Everything  was in the balance.” Ronnie has revealed how he prepared to say goodbye

Ronnie has revealed how he prepared to say goodbye to his family after he was diagnosed with cancer.

The Rolling Stone said the diagnosis led to the darkest period of his life.

The guitarist also recalled how he took the agonising decision to have an operation rather than chemotherapy because he did not want to lose his hair.

The father of six said: “I’ve had a fight with a touch of lung cancer.

“There was a week when everything hung in the balance and it could have been curtains, time to say goodbye.”

Speeding fine data in WA vulnerable to hacking

Sensitive personal data has been shared by WA Police in an insecure way which opens it up to being hacked, a report finds.

The names, addresses and offences of people paying traffic fines may have been hacked after it was shared by WA Police “in an insecure manner”, a report has found.

The Auditor-General Colin Murphy’s ninth systems report found people’s confidential infringement data was being shared and better protection is needed, after reviewing into the state’s information systems.

It’s bizarre — and revealing — that a man who called himself the “law and order candidate” during the 2016 campaign and spoke of “lawless chaos” in his address to Congress would permit such a leadership vacuum at federal prosecutors’ offices around the country. United States attorneys are responsible for prosecuting terrorism offenses, serious financial fraud, public corruption, crimes related to gang activity, drug trafficking and all other federal crimes.

As is usually the case when confronted with his own incompetence, Mr. Trump has spent his time looking for somebody else to blame.

“Dems are taking forever to approve my people,” the president said in a statement he released on Twitter Monday morning. “They are nothing but OBSTRUCTIONISTS! Want approvals.”

The problem is, the Democrats couldn’t obstruct any United States attorney nominations if they wanted to because Mr. Trump has not made any…
