BREAKING: 3 LaGuardia Airport TSA staff hurt by ‘hazardous material’

BREAKING

Three TSA workers have been injured by an unknown hazardous material at LaGuardia Airport.

The FDNY arrived at New York’s busy transport hub early on Wednesday morning after the workers started getting sick at Terminal B.

It is not known what material they were exposed to.

The employees said they started suffering from eye irritation, CBS New York reported.

The terminal was closed for half an hour but has since reopened.

90 percent of Queensland in drought, farmers doing it tough

Fraser Coast, North Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie, Somerset and all of Banana were added to the list of shires in drought, leaving a 87.47 per cent of the state officially declared as drought-stricken.

AgForce general president Grant Maudsley said conditions were unlikely to improve in the near future with below average rainfall expected for March combined with hot temperatures.

‘The prolonged and severe drought has taken an enormous financial, environmental and emotional toll on farming families right throughout Queensland,’ he said.

Wolverhampton UK stabbing: Two people dead after ‘serious’ domestic attack

Two people have been killed  after a man wielding a knife attacked two women in a flat in Wolverhampton.

The attacker, who is believed to have stabbed two women before turning the blade on himself, was confirmed dead by West Midlands Police.

The incident, which occurred at around 9.45am this morning, has left a 30-year-old woman dead, whilst the other has been rushed to hospital with life threatening stomach wounds.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said that officers had been forced to use stun grenades when they stormed the flat in a bid to distract and detain the knifeman.

However, a police office is believed to have been injured in the altercation, and is now being treated for minor injuries.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was at the scene of a “serious incident” in Leasowes Drive in the Merry Hill area of Wolverhampton.

Trump International Hotel and Tower fire in New York

The blaze on the 47th floor of the busy New York hotel broke out at 4.30am due to a piece of machinery malfunctioned in an apartment under construction.

A fire broke out at an apartment in the Trump International Hotel and Tower in the early hours of Friday.

Police initially treated the fire as ‘suspicious’ – but the cause was later attributed to a piece of machinery malfunctioning in an apartment under construction.
