Honey Birdette ad banned from lingerie stores due to highly sexual nature

IT’S fair to say that Eloise Monaghan has had a gutful.

For 10 years the creator of the Honey Birdette lingerie range has been battling people who complain about the appearance of women’s breasts in her advertising campaigns.

One year she had an image banned because it showed too much “side cleavage”.

Today, it’s the image above that has caused all the fuss.

After receiving a complaint, the image has been banned by the Australian Ad Standards Bureau for breaching Section 2.4 of the Code which states that “Advertising or Marketing Communications shall treat sex, sexuality and nudity with sensitivity to the relevant audience”.

It’s one of seven pictures that appears on digital billboards in Honey Birdette lingerie stores around Australia. But this particular shot that shows the “Issy” range, has been deemed too racy because it exposes minors to “inappropriate marketing” by using “highly sexual images”.

The big problem with this particular shot? You can see the models’ nipples.

Man missing in Pilbara, Anthony Collis, found ‘alive and well’

A 32-year-old man missing since Thursday in a remote and rugged stretch of Western Australia’s Pilbara has been found alive after he became separated from his travelling companion and vehicle.

Anthony Collis was travelling with a woman to Darwin on Thursday when they became separated, roughly 570 kilometres inland south-east of Broome, near the Karlamilyi National Park, on the Canning Stock Route.

The woman, disoriented and dehydrated, later walked into the Georgia Bore Camp on the Canning Stock Route, 8.2 kilometres north of Well 22, and reported him missing.

The pair’s vehicle was found abandoned on Friday, one kilometre north of the well and yesterday and clothes and equipment were found yesterday.

This morning, Mr Collis was found by police about 8am about 1 kilometre north of the well.

“He is dehydrated and suffering from exposure, but otherwise fine,” the statement said.

“He is currently being flown by helicopter to Newman Hospital for treatment.”

The search involved local officers, tactical response group trackers, the police airwing and State Emergency Services volunteers.

One Nation’s ‘I Trust Pauline Hanson t-shirts’ made in Bangladesh

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has been branded a hypocrite for selling party t-shirts made in Bangladesh while claiming to stick up for Australian jobs.

The bright orange ‘I Trust Pauline Hanson’ t-shirts were a prominent feature of One Nation’s campaigns during the 2016 federal election and this year’s WA state poll and were often donned by Senator Hanson herself.

But the merchandise, which is sold on the party’s website for $25 a piece, is made in Bangladesh, according to the label.

Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union national secretary Michele O’Neil said there was “no justification” for the party selling t-shirts made in Bangladesh.

“That is an extraordinarily bad call from One Nation,” she told The New Daily.

“There are skilled workers making quality political t-shirts in Australia. And as a party that claims to be based on ordinary working people’s lives, it shows the hypocrisy of that claim.

“All it says is you can trust Pauline Hanson to not support local workers and to promote her party on the backs of exploited workers in a third-world country.”

The unashamedly nationalist party says it opposes “globalism” and has attacked the Liberal and Labor parties for overseeing the decline of Australia’s manufacturing industry…
