The 25-year-old victim was in the garage of his Poynings Street at 8pm when he was approached by an unknown person who shot at him several times, hitting him in the left ankle.
The victim tried to flee into the house but was shot twice more, with the bullets hitting him on the hip before the offender ran off.
He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he is a serious but stable condition.
