Alleged: Olivia Newton-John’s health surface. She is unable to walk or get out of bed

She’s best known for playing Sandy in the 1978 movie musical Grease.

But a recent serious health issue has forced Olivia Newton John’s management to postpone her American concerts for the rest of May.

Claims: An insider reportedly told the publication, 'To see her unable to walk or get out of bed because the pain is so severe is incredibly rattling. We are very worried'Alleged details of her battle with sciatica – a spinal and nerve condition that can render some sufferers unable to move – have surfaced in a report by New Idea.

So to see her unable to walk or get out of bed because the pain is so severe is incredibly rattling. We are very worried,’ the source claimed.

Olivia’s management previously announced on her Facebook page that her scheduled performances were cancelled due to health problems.

The post read: ‘We are so sorry to announce that the Olivia concerts scheduled for May will be postponed due to a bad issue with Olivia’s sciatica.’

‘Once the dates are rescheduled we will post the new dates ASAP. Apologies for any inconvenience.’

The source reportedly said the tour cancellation was a big deal for the veteran entertainer, who is known for her professional attitude.

Meanwhile, Olivia is also reportedly concerned for her 31-year-old daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, who has suffered from anorexia and drug addiction in the past.

The insider alleged that Chloe’s recent bizarre Instagram posts – which saw her describe herself as a ‘Red Bull drinking witch’ – have upset her famous mother.

‘Just when Olivia thinks she’s on the straight and narrow, she starts up with this bizarre business,’ they said. ‘It’s just adding to Olivia’s stress and her health troubles.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Olivia Newton-John’s representatives for comment.

Train stops wanted gunman in his tracks – armed police arrested him

AN armed man who allegedly terrorised staff at a bottle shop in Perth’s south has been arrested, after his attempts to flee police were thwarted by an oncoming train.

The 21-year-old man was pulled from his car by officers on North Lake Road on Sunday, after allegedly leading police on a chase in South Lake.

Police say the same man pulled a knife on customers and staff at a Cockburn bottle shop on Sunday afternoon before the store closed.

The man allegedly got into a silver Hyundai sedan and drove erratically through the carpark before he tried to enter the bottle shop for a second time.

But staff had already locked the doors, with the man allegedly making threats to harm the staff inside.

Officers on patrol spotted the man’s vehicle about an hour later, but the driver refused to stop.

During the chase, the man approached a level train crossing but the boom gates were down for a passing train.

The man was forced to stop his vehicle and police swooped, with the knife allegedly recovered.

The 21-year-old Hamilton Hill has been charged with making threats to kill, going armed to cause fear, no authority to drive, failing to stop and driving with excess 0.05.

He appeared in court on Monday and will reappear on May 8.

Pakistan bomb blast kills 22 and leaves dozens injured

parachinar.jpgAn explosion apparently targeting a mosque in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Parachinar, in a remote area bordering Afghanistan, killed at least 22 people on Friday and wounded dozens, officials said. There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the blast, which took place as people gathered for Friday prayers near the women’s entrance of a Shia mosque in the central bazaar, follows a series of attacks this year.

BREAKING: ‘THIRTY’ skiers are buried in avalanche at French ski resort

A ‘mass of snow and ice’ hit the Carline piste in the Val Claret area of Tignes, in the Savoie department of France, covering ‘numerous people on the slopes’.

Up to 30 skiers are feared to have been buried in snow after a ‘hugely violent’ avalanche struck in a French ski resort popular with British holidaymakers today.

Hundreds of skiers and snowboarders were setting off for a day’s skiing when the avalanche struck, according to an emergency services worker at the scene. A major search operation is underway.

‘There had been avalanche warnings, but this was on a monitored piste. Conditions are making searches difficult,’ the worker said.

A rescue helicopter has reportedly been scrambled to the scene, along with sniffer dogs and police search teams. But as high winds and heavy snow continued, the gendarmerie helicopter was unable to land.

High mountain search teams were instead having to get to the disaster zone by road, and then on foot.

The avalanche covered an area around the start of the Tichot chair lift, where skiers and snowboarders had been queuing up.
