7 injured after Myrtle Beach shooting, all caught on video
At least seven people were injured early Sunday morning in Myrtle Beach after someone began shooting during a crowded street fight, police said.
The chaotic scene was captured and streamed on Facebook Live by a man staying at a nearby hotel.
Bubba Hinson told the Myrtle Beach Sun News that he was in town for a firefighters’ convention when he spotted a large crowd blocking traffic on the street below his room at the Holiday Sands North hotel.
“I thought they were dancing. That’s why I started filming it,” he told the newspaper. “Then, they started fighting. Then, they started shooting.”
Myrtle Beach police said in a statement that, just after midnight Sunday, a fight broke out on Ocean Boulevard, a major thoroughfare in the seaside South Carolina city.
Before officers arrived, a man in the fight pulled out a gun and shot one person, police spokesman Lt. Joey Crosby said.
An armed security guard who was already on the scene witnessed the disturbance and fired at the shooter, Crosby said. The shooter then hijacked a car and fled — but not before firing additional gunshots at people in the crowd, Crosby said.
The suspect was detained later that morning, police said.
Seven people, including the shooter, were taken to a hospital Sunday with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Despite reports of an officer down in the live video, Crosby said no officer was injured.

Pence’s balancing act as Trump’s No. 2 shows signs of strain amid WH turmoil
Vice President Mike Pence turned 58 on the same day that two senior intelligence officials fielded questions before a Senate committee about the FBI’s ongoing Russia probe — and one day before fired FBI Director James B. Comey appeared before the same committee to discuss why he believed President Trump had acted inappropriately.
The back-to-back rounds of testimony were merely the latest signs of a presidency in the grip of tumult. But flying down to Houston that morning for an astronaut event, Pence didn’t seem to have a care in the world.
His staff had decorated the middle cabin of Air Force Two with a festive tableau of balloons and streamers, and greeted him with a warbling rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
“What are you all doing?” the vice president asked with a smile, opening his arms wide and taking in the scene with a combination of faux-surprise and subdued delight. “This is out of control.”
Donald Trump’s administration did seem to be spiraling out of control, but Pence was — literally and figuratively — 1,400 miles away from the maelstrom in Washington, projecting his de facto stance of serene confidence or willful oblivion, depending on one’s perspective.

David Weir wins a record seventh London Marathon in men’s wheelchair race
Paralympic legend David Weir has won his seventh London Marathon title after taking a dramatic victory in the men’s wheelchair race.
Weir came on strong to reach the line first on The Mall, as he emerged from the pack and rounded rival Marcel Hug inside the final 200 metres to take victory in a time of in 1:31:06.
He now holds the record for the most victories in the race, in any category, after moving clear of Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson having shared the record with her since 2012.

Japan just held an incredibly NSFW penis festival
Watch the full video, below:The annual festival in Kawasaki, which involves a mikoshi parade of phalluses through the town, celebrates the 17th century tale about a penis-eating demon.
The below festival, in Nagaoka, is an annual celebration in which dozens of newlywed women ride a giant wooden phallus through the town, in the hope it will bring them marital bliss, fertility, and luck.
The giant wooden statue, made as part of the Hodare festival, is 2.2 metres long and weighs around 600kg.
The ceremony is religious, and locals traditionally believed that praying and touching the giant member would lead to good fortune.
