WATCH: WA man Ross McGibbon pulls five deadly snakes from pit

This is the heart-stopping moment a daredevil reptile rescuer was lowered into a well where five of the world’s deadliest snakes were lurking.

Ross McGibbon got a thrill from saving the four Western brown snakes and one mulga snake – but admitted the stunt would have been some people’s ‘worst nightmare’.

The 32-year-old was stunned to discover the five poisonous serpents when he was winched down into the pitch black six-metre-deep former well outside Perth, Western Australia, during the 45-minute rescue.

But the full-time firefighter said while spending 20 minutes in a confined underground space with venomous reptiles isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, he came back to the surface with a smile on his face.

Fremantle Dockers Harley Bennell removed from flight for being intoxicated

HARLEY Bennell’s tumultuous move to Fremantle has taken another dramatic turn with the midfielder asked to leave a flight because he was intoxicated.

Bennell hasn’t played a game for the Dockers since being traded by Gold Coast at the end of 2015. A calf injury prevented him from playing in 2016 and was ruled out for up to 10 weeks re-injuring that calf earlier this month.

Bennell was given leave from the club on Friday. He flew to Melbourne yesterday but was removed from his flight to the Gold Coast by Virgin staff.

Pauline Hanson: Four Corners investigation reveals ‘brutal dictatorship’

ONE Nation co-founder David Oldfield has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Pauline Hanson and its operations behind closed doors.

Speaking on the shocking party allegations revealed in the ABC’s Four Cornersinvestigation on Monday, the former politician said he was seeing “a new generation of people burned by Pauline”.

“A classic line I remember from Pauline was her telling me she didn’t believe in democracy because it was just mob rule, so it looks like that’s panning out again, Mr Oldfield said during an interview with News Corp Australia.

He said the complaints aired in the Four Corners story was “like Groundhog Day”.

“Whenever things turn to dog sh*t it has her fingerprints all over it,” he said.

“It’s disappointing but not surprising … mostly I just feel sorry for all the people who were just continually burned by this and I feel very sorry for the people who are the true believers who will never really understand this is how it is.”
