Bushfire watch and act alert issued for Capel in WA’s South West

THERE are concerns a bushfire may threaten lives and homes in WA’s South West with a watch and act alert being issued for Capel.

The alert was issued for the out-of-control and unpredictable blaze in the southern part of Capel on Monday afternoon, just before 3.30pm.

The Department of Fire an Emergency Services says there is a possible threat to loves and homes on the western side of Prouse Road and south of Hawley Parkway in Goodwood Estate.

People are being urged to leave or get ready to actively defend the blaze.
